Spring Street Sweeping Schedule

• Curb-faced sidewalks: April 11, 2022 – May 6, 2022

•  Boulevards and Traffic Islands: April 11, 2022 – May 6, 2022

•  Splash Pads: April 11, 2022 – May 6, 2022

•  Streets (including bike lanes): April 28, 2022. - May 13, 2022

Each year, we are all eager for street sweeping to begin when the weather starts warming up. However, we begin the spring clean-up street sweeping program when the temperatures are mild and the roads are clear of all snow, usually early in the spring.

Starting the program in spring also allows us to remove winter maintenance equipment from the Works yards when it is no longer needed to make space for street sweepings. In addition, the supply of water used for the program is contingent on temperatures remaining above the freezing point.

After our spring clean-up is complete, we will continue maintaining roadways through our regular street sweeping program.
