To accommodate construction of the Hurontario LRT, Enbridge Gas is required to relocate a natural gas line on Queensway West at Hurontario Street. The pipeline is integral to Enbridge's natural gas system and must be re-routed to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to customers in the Greater Toronto Area.

Timing

• Work is scheduled to start in early April 2021 and will last approximately three months.

• Work will generally occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. However, night and

weekend works may be scheduled as required.

• Work could be rescheduled and delayed due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Details

• Lane reductions will be required on Hurontario Street (short term) and The Queensway West (long term).

• At a minimum one northbound and one southbound lanes will be always maintained on

Hurontario Street.

• At a minimum one eastbound and one westbound lanes will be always maintained on The

Queensway.

• Traffic delays are expected.

• Temporary traffic signals will be installed.

• Watch for slow moving vehicles entering and exiting work areas.

• Remember to reduce your speed when approaching lane reductions.

What to Expect?

• Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions.

• Access to properties will always be maintained through at least one driveway or with the

assistance of a Traffic Control Person.

• Residents and businesses near the work site can expect to hear noise caused by trucks, excavators, backhoes, and other construction equipment related to this work.

Transit Details

• Due to lane reductions along Hurontario Street, delays can be expected on MiWay routes 19, 103 and 53.

• Visit MiWay Transit website miway.ca/updates for bus service information.

• Watch for additional signs directing passengers at bus stops as boarding areas may be relocated.

Pedestrian Details

• Please take care when walking or cycling near construction areas and watch for additional signs directing the public such as detours and dismounting.

• Clear and defined walking paths will be maintained during construction to ensure

pedestrian safety.

Property Details

• Please ensure any personal belongings, such as signs, benches and underground sprinklers on

city-owned land have been relocated prior to the beginning of construction.
