PETITION: Repeal the Noise!

On April 7, 2020, the Provincial Government suspended the power of municipalities to enact by-laws regulating construction related noise between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., or, any time of day if the construction is related to the healthcare sector.

No one imagined at that time that the pandemic would affect our lives for so long. Noise in neighoburhoods and residential areas has a significant negative affect on the lives and well-being of residents. Mental health has been another casualty of the pandemic and we must do more to protect the mental health of Ontarians.

Join me in calling on Doug Ford and the Provincial Government to repeal O.Reg. 131/20 and allow municipalities to protect our residents from unwanted construction noise!
