Protecting Tenants Virtual Information Session

Apartment Standards.png

Councillor Damerla is pushing for better inspection of rental buildings.

City staff are currently assessing the need for an apartment building standards and maintenance program. A future program is likely to resemble the current City of Toronto's RentSafeTO program. Residents are encouraged to review the RentSafeTO program for more information regarding the tenant and ownership roles and responsibilities.

We want to hear from you!

We are working to ensure apartment buildings and properties are well-maintained, for a more livable community.

City staff will report to Council on the community engagement results in Fall 2021.
