Ward 7 Park Upgrades

As you know parks and improving green space has been of particular importance to me.  Over a dozen parks  are undergoing upgrades across the ward.  Unfortunately due to supply chain issues, there have been delays but things are moving along.  Here is an update on some of the,:

Floradale

  • Umbrella Tables √

Brickyard Park

  • Cricket Batting Cage √ 

  • Outdoor fitness circuit √

  • Umbrella table √

Carriage Way Park

  • Outdoor Fitness Area √

  • Chess Tables √ 

  • Benches √

Martin L Dobkin Community Park

  • Outdoor Fitness Area √

Red Oaks Park

  • Improvements to existing multi-use court √

  • Basketball Hoops √

Munden Park 

  • New Playground √

The following parks are still undergoing improvements

  • Avongate Park

  • Cooksville Common

  • Gordon Lummiss Park

  • Iroquois Flats

  • Hancock Woodlands


Huron Park:
With the swimming pool upgraded, it is time to replace the playground with new equipment. 


In addition work is underway for 4 new parks:

  • 42 acres park system along the Cooksville Creek

  • A new park is being added at M City

  • A new park at the corner of Kariya Dr. and Elm Dr.

  • John Bud Cleary Park is being redeveloped
